About the artwork:

“Mona stands before the celebrated statue outside Hon-Shiogama Station, a landmark the artist passes every day on her way to the studio. As a tribute to Shiogama, TOSCANE depicts the city’s iconic tuna in white, transforming it into a protective figure. The work reflects the close relationship between the artist, her daily surroundings, and the city she has made her home.”
