About the artwork:

“With its bold Art Deco lines and curves, TOSCANE reimagines the visual language of traditional Japanese painting, drawing inspiration from Japanese tattoo motifs and the great masters of woodblock printing, including Hokusai. Against a tricolour background, Mona emerges with graceful presence beside a white swordfish. The composition brings together Japanese artistic traditions and Art Deco geometry in a distinctly contemporary vision.”
