「フォーヴィスムの鮮やかな色彩を取り入れ、アール・デコと日本のミニマリズムが交差する画面を描いた本作。小さなモナが、舞い飛ぶ蝶を見つめている。腰に手を当てた姿には、すべての女性の内に眠る勇敢な少女の面影がある。蝶とは、夢見るように飛び立つモナ自身なのかもしれない。背景にはポピーのような赤が広がる。」

“Drawing on the vivid palette of the Fauvist movement, TOSCANE creates a composition at the intersection of Art Deco and Japanese minimalism. A small Mona appears, watching a flight of butterflies, her hands on her hips with the quiet confidence of the courageous little girl within every woman. Perhaps the butterfly is Mona herself: taking flight into a dreamlike world against a poppy-red background.”
